Run by leading Music Educator, Composer and Performer Veronica Tsang, this course is ideal for all keen high school music students who would like to learn more about; musical notation, chords and harmony, history of orchestral music, score reading and analysis, melodic and rhythmic dictation and sight-singing.

This course is perfect for students studying Elective Music or the International Baccalaureate.

Wednesdays weekly at 5:30-6:30pm OR 6:30-7:30pm

Classes take place during NSW School Term periods. There are 6 sessions per school term.

*Musicians are welcome to join this program during the year 

Weekly classes are delivered via SYOnline and live through zoom each week

  • $480 for non-SYO members 
  • $360 for SYO Musicians

Scholarships: Regional Scholarships are available for students living more than 200 kilometres from the Sydney CBD and Opportunity Scholarships are available for students who are facing financial hardship or circumstances that would otherwise prevent them from joining SYO – please contact us

Open to all musicians aged 12-19 (Years 7-12) and particularly suited to those studying elective music. Students should be confident in reading and understanding musical notation to get the most out of this course
