Students in Stage 2 Strings are introduced to increasingly complex orchestral concepts and refine the skills required to effectively and confidently sight read, progressively master challenging rhythms, and interpret musical markings with deeper stylistic understanding. Repertoire for the Stage 2 String Orchestras includes arrangements of music from the classical canon by Schubert, Faure, and Stravinsky, and even includes works written especially for the ensembles by up-and-coming Australian composers.
