Sydney Youth Orchestras builds pathways for young musicians to connect, create, and champion orchestral music. As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely on the generosity of our community to deliver our mission.
Form more than 50 years, SYO has supported young musicians to develop their skills and pursue excellence in orchestral performance. We believe every young person should have access to high-quality musical training and experiences, regardless of their circumstances.

Opportunity Fund
Each year, SYO provides hundreds of scholarships and bursaries to musicians from low socio-economic backgrounds, as well as regional and tertiary students living away from home.
Through scholarships, programs, and partnerships, SYO works to remove financial, geographic, and other barriers, ensuring more young musicians can participate.
Enterprise Fund
A gift to the Enterprise Fund helps ensure we can build a strong, resilient organisation, supporting investment in IT and software, instruments, the SYO Music Library, and essential operational equipment
Excellence Fund
Help our young musicians access masterclasses with world-renowned artists, along with professional performance opportunities and leading conductors.
