SYO Holiday Programs
SYO offers an exciting range of holiday programs during the Summer and Winter school breaks, designed for students at every stage of their musical journey. From early primary-aged students looking to pick up an instrument for the first time, right through to our experienced high school and HSC students, these programs provide an enriching environment where young musicians can learn, grow, and connect with others who share their passion for music.

Orchestral Explorers
Designed for students who have not yet started instrumental lessons but are eager to begin their musical journey. Students will discover the world of Orchestral music in a fun and engaging 3 day course.
Recommended ages: 5-9 years old (minimum 6 months of primary school required)
Five fun and intensive days of rehearsals and tutorials with Sydney’s best educators will culminate in a concert at Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Our Symphony program is designed to challenge and extend musicians with previous large ensemble experience. Audition required if you have not applied for SYO’s weekly program in 2025.
*2025 applicants for SYO’s weekly program do not need to submit an audition.
HSC Summer School
SYO’s HSC program is specifically designed to assist students in Years 10, 11 & 12 to prepare for and support their HSC Music 2 & Music Extension studies.
