Experience the vibrant energy of the Inner West as Sydney Youth Orchestra Philharmonic, in partnership with the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, presents “Inner West Sounds.” This unique performance will feature nine original compositions, developed through collaboration with the Conservatorium’s Contemporary Music Practice and Composition for Creative Industries courses, led by Dr. Fiona Hill and Dr. Paul “Paul Mac” McDermott. The concert will also showcase the works of acclaimed Inner West composers Paul Stanhope and Stephen Lalor, along with fresh new pieces from local singer-songwriters. This is a rare opportunity to hear the full power of a youth orchestra bringing local talent to life in a stunning, historic venue.

About Power Up Festival:

The Power Up Festival is a community celebration that invites everyone to explore the historic White Bay Power Station, which will be transformed into a vibrant space filled with art, performances, and local food and drink. Wander through the Turbine Hall, Pump House, and Boiler House, where over 100 local artists and performers will showcase their talents.
