Join us in the streets of Cowra for a free community event supported by South West Arts and Cowra Civic Centre!
Sydney Youth Orchestras in collaboration with Cowra Vocal Ensemble will perform the World Premiere of Nicholas Gentile’s work World Peace Suite featuring the Cowra Peace Bell itself!
Cowra has an extensive history and story to tell about the role of peace. Drawing on the events of the Cowra Breakout with the Japanese and Italian prisoners of war, the World Peace Bell, the Japanese Gardens, Peace Precinct and ongoing commitment to international understanding, Nicholas composed the World Peace Day Suite.
Cowra will be shutting down its main street specifically for the premiere!
