2026 International Tour

Returning to international touring for the first time since 2019, SYO is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for young musicians to perform in some of the worlds greatest concerts halls, workshop with leading international orchestras and discover the home of orchestral music.
Highlights of the tour include a once in a lifetime experience to perform in the Berlin Philharmonie and St Stephens Cathedral in Vienna along with a workshop with the Czech Philharmonic.
Guided by The.SYO Chief Conductor Stanley Dodds and his 30 years of years of experience playing with the Berlin Philharmonic this tour aims to introduce our young Australian musicians to the birth place of orchestral music and the world to the unique sound of SYO.

Concerts will be held at iconic locations including:
- The Berlin Philharmonie
- St Simon and Jude in Prague
- Bielsko-Biala Concert Hall
- St Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna.
SYO will participate in workshops with:
- The Berlin Philharmonic
- Czech Philharmonic
- Cavatina Philharmonic Orchestra
- Vienna Philharmonic
The tour will feature sightseeing opportunities at historic landmarks including Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate, Prague’s Old Town Square, and Vienna’s Musikverein.
Chief Conductor, STANLEY DODDS
Stanley Dodds, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of Europe’s newest Orchestra the Cavatina Philharmonic, bringing a wealth of experience as a violinist with the Berliner Philharmoniker for 30 years, including 12 years on the executive board. He has also served as a conductor for over 20 years, currently holding the position of Chief Conductor of the Sinfonie Orchester Berlin.
Committed to music education, Dodds directs youth orchestras and fosters international collaborations, reflecting his dedication to shaping the future of classical music. Stanley was appoint as Chief Conductor of The Sydney Youth Orchestra in 2023.
