Being a member of the SYO Symphonic Program is a serious commitment. SYO Symphonic program musicians may only be permitted 3 explained absences per semester. The final 2 rehearsals before a concert are compulsory, and members who miss these rehearsals may be asked to sit out of the performance unless specific approval is given by SYO Musicians and Training staff. Brass, Woodwind and Percussion players may be required to find other musicians of an equivalent standard to cover for them on days of absence. If you need assistance, you may email a message for us to forward to the other musicians in the program including the date, times, part and repertiore. 

If you have any known absences, please fill out an Absence Form for each date. If you are absent on the day, please text the Orchestra Mobile phone found in SYOnline.
