We are Currently Seeking:

Orchestral Training Program Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic individual who is ready to kick-start their career as a member of the SYO Orchestral Training Program Team.

SYO is a youth-focussed orchestral music organisation looking for someone with enthusiasm and a passion for supporting young people in achieving their artistic goals to join our small and dynamic organisation.

This role is part-time (3 to 4 days per week) including one day supervising rehearsals on the weekend during school term. The role will also involve occasional weekend/evening hours for concerts, tours and events. We are happy to provide flexible working arrangements for the right candidate. If you are equal parts organised and creative, this is the job for you!

Over the past 50 years SYO has become one of the leading orchestral training providers in Australia. With a program of over 100 events and concerts per year, and a robust weekly education program for over 650 young musicians, we are at an exciting time in the company’s evolution.

With a new rehearsal venue in Haymarket, Salesforce CRM, Learning Management System, hundreds of engaged young musicians and parents, tours across NSW and an exciting concert program, SYO is well placed to take the next step in delivering our leading orchestral training program while continuing to engage with our community of young people, families, artists and educators.

Key areas of responsibility:
  • Be an active member of the SYO Orchestral Training Program Team.

  • Be the first point of contact for our musicians, families, donors, conductors, tutors.

  • Deliver vital program information to musicians and assist them with accessing SYO’s Learning Management System, SYOnline

  • Collect and maintain musician data through Salesforce CRM

  • Supervise weekend rehearsals, concerts, and other SYO activities.
