Make some noise with Sydney Youth Orchestras!
Your company is invited to partner with SYO in The Big Busk, when youth orchestral music takes over the city!
Hundreds of young SYO musicians and alumni will take over the city of Sydney for one day this October, raising funds to support the purchase of instruments and music for the Sydney Youth Orchestras, The Big Busk is an event showcasing the very best orchestral musicians in free concerts all over Sydney CBD.
At SYO, we believe any commercial relationship should be of mutual benefit. Conscious of our core commitment to our members, we are delighted to provide your business with the opportunity to make a direct connection with a young and engaged customer base. SYO offers attractive benefits packages for our commercial partners – opportunities made available through a sustainable business relationship via direct market access to the SYO family (members and their families), as well as our growing and enthusiastic audiences.

On Tuesday the 9th of October, over 550 musicians and alumni from Sydney Youth Orchestras will bring Sydney to life with a wide scale public celebration of youth music, The Big Busk. The musical spectacle aims to raise both awareness and funds for Sydney Youth Orchestras, to continue the great work in supporting, nurturing and training our musicians of the future.
We are inviting Partners to support us in delivering this special event. The benefits to your organisation are as follows:
BRAND EXPOSURE AND AWARENESS
All of our performances are taking place in densely populated areas and your logo will be visible at all locations, in multiple and different ways. Due to the nature of our performances, anyone passing by will be compelled to look up from their phones and engage with your brand during this emotive experience. Over 600,000 people visit the City of Sydney local area every day and we will be capitalising on these crowds by performing at Martin Place, Pitt Street Mall, Circular Quay, Central Station and Centenary Square in the heart of Parramatta’s CBD.
Not only will your brand be visible to the spectators that are physically present, we have a digital strategy in place to ensure widespread social media engagement and coverage. In addition to the impressions generated by people authentically posting to their own social media channels, we have a combined social media audience of 7500+ that will be fully leveraged during this campaign.
Due to the sheer size and scale of this campaign, our media outreach will be greater than ever before. We will be working closely with the major TV, print, digital and radio networks to maximise our ‘newsworthy’ event coverage.
POSITIVE BRAND ALLIANCE
Sydney Youth Orchestras is a family friendly, youthful, fun and safe brand to align with.
This may be the inaugural The Big Busk, however we have an ambitious long-term vision. We plan on growing The Big Busk into an iconic yearly event that has strong public recall and anticipation (much like Tropfest, Vivid, and City2Surf). We see this as an exciting opportunity to work with you as a partner for this inaugural event.
CAPITALISE ON THE POWER OF MUSIC
Much has been written about the undeniably powerful role music plays in advertising. Partnering your commercial message with an emotive music experience can help your brand resonate with audiences. This event is built entirely on the joy that music brings, and audiences will link your brand to their positive emotional response.
The Big Busk is unlike anything Sydney Youth Orchestras has ever done before and we’d love your support to help us make it happen and in turn, safeguard the future of classical music in Australia.
