Symphonic Wind Orchestra
This year, SWO will rehearse and perform works from renowned composers including Grainger and Holst, alongside contemporary repertoire and pop classics. SWO is the perfect training and performance environment for young brass, woodwind and percussion players.
SWO accepts applications from all wind, brass and percussion musicians, aged 12 years and over, approximately AMEB Grade 6 minimum standard or equivalent.

The Symphonic Wind Orchestra presents a number of public performances each year, including ANZAC Day, Mosman Music Society Concerts and the wonderful Meet the Orchestra concerts which allow musicians to share the experience of music with young children and their families.

Showcase as part of Mosman Musical Society Sunday Concert Series
Musicians from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, and the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra tutor each section of the orchestra on a regular basis, an association which allows members exposure to the professional music industry. SYO also offers a number of masterclasses with local and international guest artists along with camps and music retreats which offer intensive learning opportunities.
