September Newsletter 2017

September is an exciting time to be part of the SYO family. We are celebrating all the effort our musicians have put in over Term 3 with the Spring String Showcase on Saturday 9 September before rehearsals wrap up on Monday 18 September. The September School holidays are jam-packed with family fun activities including the Central West Strings Camp at our Dubbo hub, a three-day school holiday program at Casula Powerhouse, a performance in the Sydney Fringe Festival, and experimental music-making in Western Sydney Parklands.

SYO Out & About

Last month we held a special event at Dendy Opera Quays to celebrate the recent SYO European Tour. Musicians brought along their friends and families to relive the once-in-a-life adventure on the big screen.

Audition Applications for SYO 2018 close on Friday 22 September. The earlier you apply the longer you have to prepare your orchestral excerpts! Current SYO musicians, please make sure you register using the unique link emailed to you.. If you can’t locate your link, please email [email protected] and we can resend it.
