Sydney Youth Orchestras' New Digital Education Partner IDAGIO

Our New Digital Education Partner

Introducing our new Digital Education Partner, IDAGIO. Launched in August 2015, IDAGIO is a platform where musicians share their recordings and connect with a growing global classical community. As part of our partnership, all Sydney Youth Orchestra musicians receive a free premium membership to IDAGIO and access to full recordings of the great orchestras of the world. Each member of Sydney Youth Orchestras is given a Musician ID card which has a unique code that musicians can use to access many exclusive benefits from our partners. Our Artistic Staff will be encouraging our musicians to make the most of this incredible resource by setting listening homework each week to enrich our musician education program. We were excited to further connect with the IDAGIO team on our tour of Europe in April this year. Keep an eye out for Sydney Youth Orchestra recordings from our recent European Tour appearing on IDAGIO soon, conducted by James Pensini and Alexander Briger, and including tour soloistsNick Deutsch and Owen Morris. Repertoire includes: SCULTHORPE Kakadu; HAYDN Trumpet Concerto in E flat major; SHOSTAKOVICH Symphony No. 11; MUSSORGSKY Pictures at an Exhibition; GEORGE PALMER Overture; MOZART Oboe Concerto in C major, K. 314

World class musicians and ensembles such as the Vienna Philharmonic, the Philharmonia Orchestra and Ray Chen are already using IDAGIO to share their recordings. Their music is being enjoyed by a growing audience of classical musicians and listeners from more than 70 countries around the globe.
