UK International Tour
The Sydney Youth Orchestra’s UK tour in April 2019 will visit the musically rich cities of Cardiff, Manchester, London, Cambridge and Oxford. The tour is open to current and new SYO musicians. The tour is open to current and new SYO musicians in the Symphonic Orchestral Program aged 14-25.
The Big Busk
Hundreds of young SYO musicians and alumni will take over the city of Sydney for one day, raising funds to support the purchase of instruments and music for the Sydney Youth Orchestras, The Big Busk is an event showcasing the very best orchestral musicians in free concerts all over Sydney CBD.
Musician Card Specials

A Choral Christmas Celebration | St Mary’s Cathedral Choir 

Exquisite Christmas music will be performed by the St. Mary’s Cathedral Choir, featuring twenty-four boy choristers and Sinfonia Australis chamber orchestra. With choral works by Bach, Handel, Bruckner and Rutter, and a feast of favourite Christmas Carols, this concert is the ideal introduction to the Christmas Season. Join with the choir and orchestra to sing favourite carols to celebrate this special time of year.

Penrith Conservatorium | 2019 Scholarships

Penrith Conservatorium is offering six highly sought-after Scholarships through a competitive application and live audition process.

The Scholarships recognise future potential and provide the chance for students to take their gift to the next level. Scholarships are open to all instruments, and in 2019 the Conservatorium is encouraging students of Woodwind, Brass and Orchestral Percussion. Applications close Friday 14 December.

Young talent competes to forge classical music futures – Entries for the NSW Secondary Schools Concerto Competition 2019 are now open! 

The competition is open to secondary school pupils in years 7-12 at schools throughout NSW and the ACT.

ACO Academy offers outstanding string students an inspirational week of intensive workshops with ACO tutors. Students work alongside ACO musicians in Sydney to develop their skills and musicianship, culminating in a side-by-side performance.
