But is not all about our Orchestras. SYO has been building our Open Programs, which means there are now a number of ways for young musician to engage in quality education experiences. These include SYO Summer School and a new residential Winter Intensive in Tamworth which extends our connection to young musicians in the North West of the state.
Building on the success of our Central West Hub now in its 3rd year we will expanding the SYO State Program to include a South Coast Hub in partnership with the Four Winds Festival in 2018. These Hubs provide sustained engagements with young regional musicians offering play-along-side orchestral workshops, intensive workshop programs for instrument groups and provide more concerts for regional communities in smaller centres.
There are many many more exciting projects, concerts and events outlined in the program booklets including partnerships with the Sydney Opera House, the Zurich chamber orchestras and ANAM which all contribute to one of the most exciting years yet!
